About Noora First Words
Noora First Words is an interactive speech-practice app—not passive screen time. It's built around motivational principles from Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT), an evidence-based, naturalistic approach that supports early communication. Kids explore words through engaging topics and activities, and the app responds in the moment to encourage vocalization, first words, and vocabulary growth—guided by the child's interests.
Made for Kids
Noora First Words is designed to be used as an adjunct, not the only support for language development. It's a great option to replace moments when a child would otherwise receive no language support or be passively browsing videos or the internet, turning that time into active practice.
All app content is created and meticulously reviewed by our Stanford team of speech-language professionals, special educators, teachers, BCBA's, and clinicians. It is designed to be safe and supportive for neurotypical and neurodiverse children, and it is classified in Apple's Made for Kids category with the 5 & Under age band.
Noora First Words is for educational practice and is not a medical device or a substitute for professional care.
